Netherlands neutral
In 2014 we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War. The Netherlands maintained its neutrality during this war, but not without problems form an ethic, economic, political and militairy point of view. Hunderds of thousands Dutchmen were permanently mobilised, the economy was under a lot of pressure and milions of Belgian refugees crossed the border to the free Netherlands.
With indepth portraits of 9 major Dutch players during the years 1914-1918 this book makes it clear how exiting and dangerous it was to be a neutral country.
